- My name is Laura Brinker. My 14 year old daughter, Amanda Christian Brinker, was brutally murdered September 20, 2007 by a 20 year old monster named Jesse Lee Pitts. The loss of my precious child is unspeakable. The lives of those who knew her and loved her will be forever changed. During my grief, I have discovered I am not alone. Gods amazing grace continues to lift me up and carry me each step of the way. We are not alone. We need not ever feel we are alone. It is my hope and sincere prayer that the words I share will touch the lives of others who share this journey with me.
